STEM Education Recruitment Campaign

• Project Goal and Scope:  
  Inspire high school students to pursue a career in STEM Education. Packages were mailed to college alumni with materials enclosed about the programs we have that can support their professional growth and inspire their own students to consider a career in education. 

• Primary Audience: 

  • Prospective undergraduate students (and college alumni currently teaching)

  • Current undergraduate NC State Students

• My Role in the Project:
  Designed all campaign materials.

• Other Project Stakeholders:
  I worked with marketing team writer, who developed the copy and the team's digital storyteller, who photographed the alumni featured in the postcard. Marketing and Communication team collaborated to discuss and implement campaign ideas. Campaign spearheaded by Marketing Director.

    • Letter from Head of the Department of STEM Education to college alumni

    • 24x36"Poster for teachers to hang in their classrooms, inspiring their high school students to pursue a career as a STEM Educator

    • Postcard featuring college alumni that shares how teachers can encourage their student to choose education, and amplify their efforts through social media posting to win free NC State swag.

    • Postcard showing alumni and teachers how they can take the next step in their career through our innovative graduate programs in NC State's Department of STEM Education.

    • Small Postcard encouraging recipients to sign up for our free monthly newsletter for K-12 educators

    • Stickers

    • Booklet sized mailing envelope

  • Flyers encouraging current NC State undergraduate students to double major in a STEM field and in STEM education, so that they can teach science, technology, engineering or math.

  • Write on #GetAheadwithSTEM Ed cards, allowing teachers to share why they chose STEM Education
